"Building the Base" Interactive Presentation

Using renderings created by Rich Mallon-Day, we now have a great interactive showcase for a concept for the first permanent base, using brick masonry to build a large structure made up of roman-style vaults.

This is the same type of structure as the "Underhill" base that was featured in Kim Stanley Robinson's book Red Mars. The renderings in this presentation and the "Underhill" base were both inspired by the work of Project Co-Founder Bruce Mackenzie, who has championed the idea of brick masonry on Mars for almost two decades.
