Joseph Palaia receives Peter Diamandis Leadership Award

Mars Foundation programming team member Joseph Palaia (second from right) recently received the Peter Diamandis leadership award while attending the Space Generation Congress 2005 in Fukuoka, Japan.
Dr. Peter Diamandis is a pioneer and leader in the commercial space arena. He is the Chairman and CEO of the X PRIZE Foundation www.xprize.org and is also the CEO of Zero Gravity Corporation www.nogravity.com. Dr. Diamandis donated this award to recognize and encourage the leaders of tomorrow. The award recognizes the Space Generation Congress delegate who makes the most significant contribution to the online discussions prior to SGC, and who demonstrates the greatest leadership and initiative during this period.
The Space Generation Congress is held each year in conjunction with the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), and is a program of the Space Generation Advisor Council (SGAC). The SGAC is a global Network of Networks which brings together students, young professionals, and space organizations to present a unified vision for the future exploration of space to the United Nations and other bodies.
