MHP Online Document Management System

The Mars Homestead Project has implemented an online Document Management System. If you already have an account, you may access the system here:

ACCESS MHP DOC MGMT SYSTEM

Within this system, we have created a directory structure to organize our efforts. The structure consists of a general folder (A-General-Public) which contains publicly accessible files related to our efforts. Also a folder titled (TDWBS-Public) has been created. This folder contains a directory structure organized according to our Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Within it you will find information pertaining to the construction and operation of our first permanent Martian settlement. Technology Development items are designated by MS Word files starting with the letters "TD", with the file containing more details related to that item. You will also find papers and presentations related to these topics, sorted into the appropriate categories.

We are now providing public access to our Online Document Management System, Work Breakdown Structure, Technology Development Item List, and Archive of Papers and Past Work. If you would like to gain access to the system, please Contact Us and we will create an account for you.

"Building the Base" Interactive Presentation

Using renderings created by Rich Mallon-Day, we have a depiction of an early concept for the first permanent base, using brick masonry to build a large structure made up of roman-style vaults.

This is the same type of structure as the "Underhill" base that was featured in Kim Stanley Robinson's book Red Mars. The renderings in this presentation and the "Underhill" base were both inspired by the work of Project Co-Founder Bruce Mackenzie, who has championed the idea of brick masonry on Mars for almost two decades.
