CfM2: Covering the Habitats with Martian regolith

Cargo vehicles, once emptied and dragged to a final location, are used as habitats for the Mars base. The vehicles will be covered with loose Martian dirt to provide radiation shielding. Note the wench pulling a bucket on the rear vehicle. The fuel and oxygen production equipment is on the right. Designed during a Mission design workshop during the "Case for Mars 2" conference in Boulder, Colorado, USA, July 1984.
