Original Mars Foundation Logo

|
In August, 2005, the Mars Foundation launched a competition to find a new logo. The winning design was by Fernando Ledezma of Mexico with this original effort. The red circle represents Mars, the two solitary circles are representations of the Martian moons, Phobos and Deimos. The two shapes cutting through the Mars symbol are representations of people "reaching" for Mars.
