CfM2: Leaving Mars – 1249 viewsA crew departs the surface of Mars while a replacement crew lands. With proper mission phasing, a Mars base can be occupied continuously. A two-stage ascent rocket must be used due to the lower performance of the carbon monoxide fuel which was produced from the local Martian atmosphere.
