Mars-Civ - e-mail discussion group on 'Future Mars Civilization and Culture'

This email list is about the forms new settlements and developing cultures on other worlds, principally Mars, might take in their beginnings. This is a difficult topic. It has a much more religious character than (most) engineering topics, and some people have very strong feelings about it. Further, many people are unfamiliar with social research and thinking already done in these areas, and there is a lot of that. Yet discussion here is very important for Mars settlement, for it begins to set a social basis for other worlds for the centuries and (probably) millennia to come.

This difficult topic is lightly moderated.
